 Waffle House weirdness continues
Waffle House weirdness continues
The news of the Waffle House Weird seems to be as continuous and prolific as the chain itself. Why is it always Waffle House? Maybe we just pay more attention to a news story when there’s a Waffle House angle. Or maybe unusual events just gravitate toward the Norcross-based chain of diners. picked by kakana 5 months ago

so in the last 10 years there were 9 news stories that can be connected with one of the 1500+ Waffle Houses. (Plus aren't they open 24 hours?)

Wow, yeah. That is a pattern alright.

Some people don't understand math.

I was going to point out that very thing. And not only are they open all the time, for most rural areas, long since having lost their "Main Street" districts to Wal*Mart, Waffle Houses have become the de facto meeting spaces for locals, whether it be morning coffee and kibitzing, lunch, dinner, or after-hours sobering up (or not).

Waffle House is one of the things I miss about the South. Although, if they had them here in LA, judging from the Denny's restaurants here -- Yeah, that would never work.
