I also remember watching a programme about ancient Rome in which they explored hydraulics and some more advanced engineering techniques, including suspending a statue in mid air via magnetism. Sadly I can't remember the name of the program.

There was a video I saw, but I could not find it to link it... the room revolved on water and stones according to the same rotation of the earth, which is mega-slow
