Stories like this bother me. The bus driver will be charged? What about the women in the bus that completely agreed that he get thrown off the bus?

Because it isn't against the law to have an opinion.

One may "agree" that someone should be shot, beat-up, discriminated against, have their property stolen, or whatever but that isn't the same as actually shooting someone or even throwing them off the bus.

Did it say anywhere in the article that the other passengers knew/agreed/didn't speak up?

Wonder if the driver was male or female.

I understand that entirely, but I feel like maybe some of the women on the bus did not find that throwing the guy off the bus was right. I didn't expect the women to be charged, but I am worried about how the woman were downplayed in this article, like they couldn't have done anything about it if they wanted to. The women were just as in the wrong as the driver, in my opinion.

Very often I read a story about how a man is assaulted or another type of crime is committed in a very public area full of people that could help, but do not. The Bystander Effect is a harsh mistress. I can only hope that if you or I were put in a situation like this, we could do something about it.

I feel like this is irrelevant. If I had to guess, I would say that the bus driver was hired to do this "Pite Presenterer" event and knew that this was a girls-only event. He or she may have been a little confused when a man got onto the bus.

Oh, I thought this was about a bus driver who refused a guy because he was male. Why would he pick up the guy only to throw him off later for geing male? Did he think they guy was a woman when he first got on the bus?
